As I don't have accsess to photo shop at home I decided to use 'picnik' website to attempt to edit the chosen picture. By uploading the photograph I then changed the brightness and contrast, as the colour balance to give it that dark green colour that represents the after dark effect. I am now going to edit it a little more when in class by darkening the bottom of the photograph so the title and distribution logos can lay.

Today I edited the studio version of the news footage. I designed the background and the logo and writing on a Photoshop document, then saved them as a JPEG file. I then placed the footage onto the teaser trailer where I then copied the JPEG onto the footage that gave me an option to 'green screen' the material. Once that had completed I trimed the footage, also seeded it up so that it wouldn't last too long.

Here we have the distribution logo 'Darkhill Entertainment'  were we was influenced by other distributions. At first we had it a dark cold blue, however decided to change this to a dark woodland brown as we thought it would link nicely to the articles and the tone of the horror and location as to the scarecrow. I used photoshop to complete this and for the shape added a glow and also a back light however decreased the opacity so it wasn't too obvious.

Today I began designing a 'Scarecrow Myth' sheet for the teaser trailer, I used Photoshop and inserted a stained colour background and added a picture of the 'Scarecrow'. However when I printed it off it didn't look very convincing as you could tell it was computerized rather than from a book, so Lucy and I decided it would be best to go home and re create the paper tea look with simply dabbing tea bag onto the paper and burn the sides and crumple it up, giving it that old abandonment look.

Wrong Turn (2003) ethology shot.

Above you can see that I have taken a screen grab from 'Wrong Turn' Trailer, Lucy and I want to achieve a similar effect for ours, however with a close up picture of the scarecrow.

We also thought that it would be a good idea that we have a news report about the teens 'missing' that tilts upwards with a picture of them. We need to get a photo of them all together.

Here is the 'All Is Lost' poster that I created at the beginning of the year as a class task, however i feel that this is appropriate for my own poster for 'After Dark' especially with the tone and layout of the text. Therefore I am going to re create this.
