Research & Planning: Weather forecast

Now that me and my partner have decided on a production date to begin filming, I thought it would be a good idea to look at the weather forecast for the day so that I can see it's an appropriate day to film and also for the actors/actresses health and safety.

Research & Planning: The start of Filming

In a group we have now decided on a date to begin filming, this will start on the 12th of January which is on a Thursday. From now we will be gathering all props and equipment to reassure that we are all set for filming on the Thursday.

Research & Planning: The Twisted Production

Final Logo

First Draft.
Today as editor I thought it's time to begin creating a production logo for the teaser trailer. I began by using photoshop on the mac and began by using a paint brush tool to draw a sketch of a tornado for influence I looked online and draw a similar copy. I then used the text bar and wrote 'Twisted Production' in a bold font. However I didn't feel satisfied with the outcome of my first draft above, therefore decided to change the background to black and then added a gradient overlay on the font to give it that gritty grey colour that links quiet nicely to the tornado.

Research & Planning: Podcast

Today Lucy and I decided to record our podcast describing what we have done over the past month or so using GarageBand.

Research & Planning: Make Up Test

Front shot.

Left Side Shot

Right head shot

Close up shot
Here I used my friend Rebecca to do a makeup test over the christmas holidays as I could not get hold of Emily White who plays the victim. I used home makeup (eye shadows, lipgloss, cream and Vaseline)

Research & Planning: First newsreporter

This is the footage from when we began filming with News reporter number one indoors. We filmed two versions to be safe, and by looking at them both me and Lucy have decided to use take 2 as it was more professional and he spoke at quicker pace than the first.
