Research & planning: Codes and conventions of a film poster with drafts

Influence one

Draft 1

Influence 2

Draft 2
I have researched the codes and conventions of what appears on a film poster

  •  A title is used, this conventionally catches an audience eye as it tends to stand out.
  • The use of colours, represent the type of genre the film is.
  • Star names, this is a advertising tool as this can sell a film alone.
  • The date and year the film is released.
  • Photograph/Photographs- relate to the audience, target audience.
  • Cast and crew information- conventionally shown at the bottom of the poster.
  • Tagline with rhetorical questions.
