Research & Planning: Film Poster analysis 2

This is the Eden Lake film poster, a low angle Medium Long shows the protagonist who seems vulnerable and scared of those who are hunting her also shown through her posture and facial experession, in comparison the photograph to the right of her that uses an establishing shot showing the antagonist, the posture of the silhouette suggests  dominance and mystery that poses, especially with the choice of low key lighting in the woodland area. The young woman's low cut dress suggests that she's being objectified and also helps give a sense of the narrative. The capitalized red blood like film title stands out from the page, mainly due to the dark horror colours surrounding suggests that the films themes are dark/gory. At the top of the page lays a review, this can be unusual for a horror film poster, but its an effective tool, in order to attract an audience as they could be influenced by a successful review. The Sans Serif font that is used in the tag lines suggest that a simple holiday 'away from it all' turned out to be the complete opposite. As its a horror the primary audience would be 16-25 years, as the victim is a female suggests that a female audience may relate to the character more, the audience will either be in college, university, have a part time, or full time job.
